Team Member, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Associate – Janitorial Services Position Objective:
This position is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas in offices, break rooms, bathrooms, and all areas in a warehouse facility. As well as sweeping, vacuuming, buffing floors, emptying trash containers, and replacing the lining of trash cans as needed. Position does work rotating weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide immaculate cleaning services throughout the warehouse facility

Maintain clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces

Dust and clean furniture, mirrors, walls, machines, and equipment

Use walk-behind floor scrubbers throughout the warehouse

Clean and keep break room areas and/or floors neat Clean and service restrooms with rags, brushes, mops, and disinfectants

Replenish supplies,s i.e., soap, towels, ls and other disposable items

Mix various cleaning agents and use cleaning solution to remove stains and clean surfaces.

Identify and report possible repairs and/or negative conditions.

Maintain building security/safety by performing tasks, i.e., locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliances after cleaning to ensure that hazards are not created.

Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, powered and/or hand-operated industrial trucks

Attend to emergencies and perform other job-related duties as necessary.

Previous cleaning experience in an industrial setting

Must know how to use common housecleaning implements, such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads, to keep areas clean and well serviced

Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong - It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem

Ability to endure long hours of continuous work when called upon to do so Physical efforts required by the job include: walking, standing, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Detailed and team-oriented

Must be able to work independently and accomplish goals with little direct supervision.
