Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function for our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Manager will ensure reliable, safe, and cost-effective operation of all mechanical and electrical equipment, drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with planning, budgeting, and team development to maximize equipment uptime and support production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical and production support systems.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary maintenance team, including hiring, training, performance management and scheduling.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime and support production schedules.
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex equipment failures; implement long-term corrective actions.
- Plan and manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory and vendor relationships to optimize costs and availability.
- Implement and sustain Lean maintenance practices (5S, TPM, continuous improvement) to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and industry standards; conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Develop metrics and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) to monitor performance, prepare regular reports and drive data-driven decisions.
- Oversee capital projects and equipment installations, working with engineering and production to commission and validate systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience maintaining production equipment.
- Experience with Lean methodologies, TPM, and continuous improvement tools; proven track record of implementing maintenance improvements.
- Proficient with CMMS systems and able to develop maintenance plans, schedules and spare parts strategies.
- Solid understanding of safety and regulatory requirements in industrial settings.
- Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills; ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and KPIs to drive reliability and cost improvements; experience with OEE, MTBF and MTTR preferred.
