Houseman/Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of hotel public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities. The janitor ensures guests and employees enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize hotel lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other public areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces.
- Clean glass doors, mirrors, and windows.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to management.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of supplies.
- Support housekeeping and maintenance departments when required.
