Join our team as a Facilities Coordinator who is responsible for maintaining the hospital through hands-on minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordination of larger projects with external contractors and vendors. This role ensures a safe, functional, and compliant environment for patients, clients, and staff while managing work orders, regulatory issues, and emergency responses. - Perform on-site minor repairs and maintenance within scope of expertise (see Core Repair Categories below).
- Manage the work order system: initiate, prioritize, track, complete, and close work orders to acceptable standards; conduct quality assurance reviews.
- Coordinate larger projects (installations, major repairs, renovations), including developing scopes of work, obtaining and negotiating costs, managing change requests, overseeing vendors, and serving as liaison between CST Facilities Team, contractors and hospital leadership.
- Conduct site inspections and walk-throughs; document findings; perform final inspections with landlords or contractors when required.
- Resolve questions of repair responsibility between landlord and hospital.
- Coordinate with local authorities (Code Enforcement, Fire Marshal, etc.) to address Notices of Violation and similar compliance issues.
- Ensure facilities comply with applicable OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, ADA, and local regulations through regular inspections and procedural alignment.
- Prepare for and respond to severe weather events, natural disasters, and facility emergencies (including potential temporary closures); available for emergency issues as needed (including after-hours).
- Educate and collaborate with hospital team members on facilities-related matters and basic maintenance awareness.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with hospital managers and leadership; communicate progress on work orders, inspections, emergency preparedness, and facility performance.
- Prepare presentations, capital project budgets, operating budget inputs, and related reports for management approval as needed.
- Use computer systems and/or mobile devices for work order management, email, and documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
