Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Maintenance Manager to lead and elevate the maintenance function across a multi-building manufacturing operation.
This role is ideal for a modern maintenance leader who combines manufacturing knowledge with strong analytical, process improvement, and people leadership skills. The successful candidate will focus on building sustainable maintenance systems, improving asset reliability, implementing meaningful KPIs, developing structured training programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance organization.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Leadership & Asset Reliability- Lead the overall maintenance strategy for a multi-building manufacturing operation.
- Drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on reliability, asset performance, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Analyze equipment performance and downtime trends to identify recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Utilize CMMS data to prioritize maintenance activities and improve equipment uptime.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to support production goals and asset utilization.
- Develop maintenance roadmaps and capital improvement recommendations based on equipment performance data and asset lifecycle analysis.

- Establish, track, and continuously improve maintenance performance metrics and KPIs.
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards that provide actionable insights into maintenance performance.
- Leverage maintenance data to identify:
- Downtime trends
- Pareto opportunities
- Recurring maintenance issues
- Areas for future capital investment
- Drive data-informed decision-making throughout the maintenance organization.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as preventive maintenance compliance, equipment reliability, downtime reduction, mean time between failure (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR).
- Build and implement a structured maintenance training program from the ground up.
- Establish onboarding and development plans, including clear 30-, 60-, and 90-day learning expectations.
- Develop training documentation, work instructions, skill matrices, and knowledge-sharing tools.
- Mentor and develop maintenance personnel while strengthening technical and leadership capabilities across the team.
- Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching discussions, and development planning.
- Lead department-wide initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence.
- Improve organizational maturity by creating consistent maintenance processes, communication standards, and documentation practices.
- Standardize training materials, maintenance templates, reporting structures, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall maintenance effectiveness.
- Apply Lean, continuous improvement, and root-cause problem-solving methodologies where appropriate.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the maintenance organization.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, ISO, GMP, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and drive corrective actions when necessary.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment remains operational and validated within required parameters.
- Support capital projects, equipment installations, and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Lead one Maintenance Supervisor and a team of seven Maintenance Technicians.
- Support maintenance coverage across three shifts while primarily working first shift.
- Prioritize resources and maintenance activities to meet production and operational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, approachable, and team-oriented culture.
- Provide strategic direction while empowering team members to execute effectively.
- Clean, precision manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing support role, not facilities maintenance.
- Facilities-related work such as building maintenance, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs are supported through separate corporate resources.
- Exposure to automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading preventive maintenance, asset reliability, and maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Experience utilizing CMMS platforms to manage maintenance activities and analyze performance data.
