Position Title: Operations Field Technician
Supervisor: Regional Director of Operations
Compensation: Starting hourly range $20 - $28;
Commensurate to Skills and Experience
Hours: Full-time:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Place of Work: Biogas clean‑up facility and dairy digesters in the Merced area.
Position DescriptionWe seek an Operations Field Technician to support ongoing operations of dairy digester projects in Galt, Tulare, Merced, Fresno County, or Buckeye, Arizona.
The applicant must be self‑motivated, quickly learn industry‑specific skills, understand mechanical equipment, work independently or with remote support, and troubleshoot issues on multiple sites.
The role includes routine maintenance of systems, repair or replacement of equipment, and troubleshooting of large internal combustion engines, biogas pipelines, 3‑phase motors, electric manure pumps, electrical wiring, PLCs, and industrial flares.
Responsibilities- Travel to various facilities for routine and preventative maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems are operating as designed while maximizing facility uptime.
- Troubleshoot issues on‑site or remotely as they arise.
- Maintain spare parts inventory as needed.
- Communicate via email, text, and phone with team members, clients, and business partners.
- General mechanical and electrical experience preferred but not required (2+ years).
- Demonstrate analytical thinking with an ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues timely.
- Ability to work in the field unsupervised.
- Must be proficient in English; proficiency in Spanish is helpful but not required.
- Must successfully pass a background check and a motor‑vehicle (DMV) background check to qualify for use of a company vehicle.
This job mainly operates in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, etc. Noise level may be loud at times and works around moving mechanical or construction equipment.
Must be able to move objects of at least 50 lbs., and use leg, abdominal, and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
