Environmental Services Worker; Mercer Area School District

AVI Food systems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Full‑time Environmental Services Worker at Mercer Area School District. This position works Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:00pm.

• Dust furniture, woodwork and equipment and dust‑mops floors. Polish and clean fixtures in rooms and bathrooms
• Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers, shampooers and related environmental service equipment
• Wet‑mop rooms, halls and other areas; shampoo rugs and furniture
• Clean vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, door frames and other high areas using a ladder
• Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials using specified bags or containers.
• Move furniture and other heavy objects as required
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants; follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms
• Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
• Previous environmental services experience is a plus
