As a Mechanical Associate III, you will play a key role in ensuring every vehicle meets Car Max’s standards for safety and reliability. At Car Max, we don’t just repair cars—we restore confidence for our customers. You will use your expertise to diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles across a wide range of makes and models, from engines and brakes to steering and suspension systems.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet Car Max’s standards for safety and performance
• Collaborate with a skilled team to solve technical challenges efficiently
• Gain hands‑on experience with diverse domestic and foreign vehicles
• Deliver exceptional quality that ensures customer confidence and satisfaction
• Follow Car Max Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Experience in one or more areas: steering and suspension, and brakes
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and repair standards
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Possession of a valid driver’s license

• Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2)
