Base Hourly: $16.87
Class/Calendar: A12, 12 months

Performance Pay: Available annually – 1% of the base hourly rate per year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond requirement, up to a ten-year maximum; 1% of the base hourly rate for an AA or higher degree when not required for the position.

Drug & Alcohol Testing: All new contract employees working in Operations must undergo testing prior to employment or during the first 3 months of probation. Positive test results disqualify applicants.
Key Responsibilities- Perform custodial duties per district standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, offices, and outdoor grounds.
- Operate custodial power equipment.
- Assist in moving equipment and furniture as needed.
- Maintain regular and on-time attendance.
- Execute other related duties assigned to ensure efficient work unit function.
- Working knowledge and experience with custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- High School education or GED.
- Models attributes and skills of the MPS Portrait of a Graduate.

- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and follow directions.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor.

Physical Requirements
- Work inside classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, offices, and outdoor grounds.
- Frequent use of cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and floor treatments requiring safety precautions.
- Exposure to high outdoor temperatures.
- Long periods of standing, walking, and covering large areas.
- Frequent bending to clean, pick up trash, and access low areas.
- Repetitive arm and hand movements during sweeping, mopping, scrubbing.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
