Job Summary

Ensure any building is kept neat and clean at all times. This role involves maintaining optimum cleanliness in every building or worksite serviced by Flagship. This summary outlines core duties but is not exhaustive.

Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners, scrubbing and buffing machines. May use ladders to dust and wash walls, ceilings, and light fixtures. Cleans blinds, moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to cleaned areas. Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Rakes leaves, cuts grass, removes snow, and performs other incidental seasonal tasks.

Applies protection applications to walls, floors, and equipment and removes protective applications. Empty waste baskets and replace liners in carpeted areas. Dust and clean tops of office furniture and vacuum carpeting. Spot‑clean soiled areas on carpets and clean glass on lobby door. Sweep and mop tile areas and restrooms, including toilet, basin, and urinal sanitization. Refill restroom dispensers as needed.

Dust overhead vents, polish wood furniture, clean interior partition glass.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Six months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired. Knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities very helpful. Good listening and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak/understand English. Neat appearance; uniform required at some work sites. Must attend periodic training and safety meetings. Punctual and able to understand and anticipate client needs.

Small to large office environment; fast‑paced work. Moderate noise level. Exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.

Stand, walk, sit, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds of equipment, cleaning products, tools, ladders, and trash. Must walk long distances and stand for long periods. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and ability to adjust focus.
