At Dexcom, our Test Lab team plays a critical role in supporting the development, validation, reliability, and continuous improvement of the equipment and processes used to deliver life-changing Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology. As an Equipment Technician II, you will be part of a highly collaborative team that partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and R&D to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

- You will own the reliability, performance, and maintenance execution of assigned Test Lab equipment.
- You will independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures and schedules.
- You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical assemblies, electronic modules, instrumentation, sensors, power distribution systems, and test equipment.
- You will utilize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- You will diagnose equipment failures, determine probable root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- You will monitor equipment performance using operational dashboards, OSI PI systems, and maintenance records to identify trends and potential issues.
- You will create and maintain accurate maintenance documentation, equipment records, Equipment Binders (EBs), and Maximo work orders.
- You will support Equipment Binder updates, preventive maintenance improvements, and documentation revisions.
- You will lead troubleshooting investigations and participate in root cause problem-solving activities using structured methodologies and Lean Six Sigma principles.
- You will support equipment qualification and validation activities, including IOQ, LRA, calibration activities, and associated documentation.
- You will coordinate calibration activities and monitor calibration status to maintain compliance and equipment readiness.
- You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve process performance.
- You will participate in daily tier meetings, shift pass-downs, and maintenance planning activities while effectively communicating equipment status and priorities.
- You will identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, maintainability, safety, and operational efficiency.
- You will support spare parts inventory management and recommend critical spare part requirements.
- You will mentor Process Technicians on troubleshooting techniques, maintenance best practices, and compliance requirements.
- You will follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), EHS requirements, GMP, GDP, and applicable regulatory standards.
- You will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- You have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; an associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- You have 2 to 4 years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing, test lab operations, engineering support, or a related technical environment.
- You have demonstrated success independently troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment systems.
- You have experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
- You have the ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, maintenance procedures, and equipment documentation.
- You have experience utilizing CMMS systems such as Maximo or similar maintenance management software.
- You have the ability to analyze equipment performance data and use insights to drive reliability and maintenance improvements.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can effectively collaborate across multiple functions.
- You are comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- You have proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, multimeters, calipers, and other diagnostic equipment.
