The Maintenance & Engineer II is responsible for assigned areas and equipment and performs any duty/task that pertains to maintaining and protecting the facility and persons within. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment in compliance with hospital policies and procedures; operates hand and power tools to make repairs in a safe manner. Has good working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance;

resolves and/or reports safety and security hazards and/or concerns; identifies, intervenes and resolves violent or potentially violent situations and responds to all "Code Green" events. Secures doors and patrols the facility and grounds at specified times to ensure a safe campus. This position is to function under the supervision of the Director of the Plant Operations Department. Performs

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Licenses/Certificates: CPI training within 3 months of hire. Equipment certifications preferred

High School or better.

A minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience required. Maintenance experience in hospital facilities preferred.
