As soon as possible
PRIMARYPURPOSE:
- To aid in maintaining all facilities, entities, and related projects that need painting.
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
SKILLS:
- Demonstrate working knowledge of various aspects of painting and related repairs, including different types of working media and appropriate use thereof
- Knowledge of the use and care of appropriate equipment
- Ability to prioritize and organize work orders and scheduling to facilitate that such alterations and repairs are with safety and expedience not to obstruct a minimum of district activities.
- Working knowledge of painting and associated skills, with hands on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Applying paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.
- Maintain, repair, and/or replace all internal and external parts of district facilities which are related to painting
- Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.
- Assist other painters with painting needs related to equipment/projects.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of needed supplies and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Reading blue prints / manuals / work orders
- Lifting and carrying items in excess of 50 pounds
- Stooping, bending, kneeling, and standing
- Vision corrected in order to read labels and do detail work
- Exposure to weather extremes of hot and cold
- Exposure to material fumes and particles
- Moderate to loud noise in work environment
