Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Work in a team with other employees
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Use reporting systems and be aware of the environment

• Education or
  
  Experience:
  
  No specific education requirement; 3‑6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus. Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and upkeep. Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Physical demands: lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; sit, talk or listen for most of the shift.

Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

$19.00 per hour
