Building Maintenance

Job Overview

As a Maintenance Staff Member, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment are operational and properly maintained, and that all common areas are kept clean, aesthetically appealing, and disinfected.

• Routinely walk floors, including roof inspections, to identify problems and report to supervisors.
• Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintain a working relationship with building staff.
• Paint all common areas and touch up as needed; inspect areas that require paint and advise the manager.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Perform casual labor such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by supervisors, following appropriate safety procedures.
• Carry out minor maintenance replacements and repairs in areas of carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other building repairs through daily scheduled work orders.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Repair or replace work where a permit is not required, following safety procedures.
• Utilize new equipment properly and follow safety procedures prior to use.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance, or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods; be able to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
• Work in various positions, including stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods; climb stairs; navigate the property quickly and easily as required to meet job functions.
• Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders).
• Work in different environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity).
• Repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs occasionally to complete assigned job tasks.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by spoken and written word.
• Maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As a full‑time non‑exempt associate, you will be eligible for a full comprehensive benefits package, including multiple medical plans, dental, vision, time‑off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Occasional travel may be required for training and other company functions.

$20.00 per hour
