GENERAL
PURPOSE:
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for keeping buildings in a clean and orderly condition at all times. Performs medium to heavy cleaning in designated production areas, breakrooms, and office space as outlined below.
- Responsible for the general cleaning and trash pickup of all production, main office, interior, and exterior building areas including parking areas
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming floors
- Service, clean, sanitize, and supply items in all facility restrooms
- Responsible for the replenishment of all water/ice containers (if applicable) for the production teams within the assigned shift
- Responsible for cleaning all assigned areas as assigned by management
- Will prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and chemicals in specific containers, according to specifications
- Dust walls, ceilings, machines, and equipment as instructed by management
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs to buildings or operating systems
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning, restocking, and maintenance duties
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in a janitorial/custodial or similar capacity
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English
- Must be able to work in an organized manner and with minimum supervision
- Must have excellent reliability, and moderate flexibility with schedule to work as needed
- Must be able to work as part of a team environment
- Must be able to work in an extreme temperature environment for prolonged periods of time
Inside work: protected from weather conditions. Outside work: no effective protection from weather. Both inside and outside work: activities occur both inside and outside a building enclosure. Extreme cold: below 32 degrees for periods of more than 1 hour throughout the normal course of a day. Extreme heat: above 100 degrees for periods of more than 1 hour throughout the normal course of a day.
