Seating Technician Assistant

Description

The Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center are looking for a Seating Technician Assistant to oversee the maintenance, operation and repair of the seating systems. Other duties include general mechanical maintenance, carpentry, minor electrical and welding.

• Assist in the repairs and maintenance of all bowl seating and corresponding equipment and plumbing items.
• Assist with replacing and installing seats, cushions, seat structures, cup holders, glass railings and general seating structure.
• Assist in the repairs, replacing and rebuilding of various items, such as motors, gear drives, hydraulics systems and other rotating assemblies.
• Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.
• Record and log all work performed, complete work order slips and compile all required reports in a timely and complete manner through the building maintenance work order system.
• Operate equipment, such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines, or other light power-driven equipment.
• Assist other Operation Department divisions to expedite event conversions, as needed.
• Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage, loss of property and safety concerns promptly to supervisor.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• During off season, assist co-workers in the Engineering and Operations departments with tasks that may include but are not limited to toilets, sinks, water fountains, drainage pipes, painting, relamping, replacing ceiling tiles, pavers, floor tiles, filters and belts as required.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of painting anticipated at the facility.
