Custodial Worker - Respect of Florida

Summary

This position complies with the Respect of Florida Program, a Florida-based initiative to promote employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Through nonprofit agencies, the program provides employment opportunities in the areas of custodial, landscaping, and food preparation services to a multitude of County and State agencies.

The program requires that 51-75% of the services provided be completed by individuals who meet the definition of a federal disability. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for the program.

All candidates must pass a background check and may be subject to a federal background check, where applicable.

• Keeps the assigned area in a clean and orderly condition
• Prepare chemicals for use in the performance of various cleaning tasks, by instructions
• Care for equipment and perform routine maintenance and cleaning as needed
• Perform cleaning duties as instructed and assigned, including but not limited to:
• Restroom cleaning, replenishing paper products, and soap in restrooms.
• Office cleaning, empty trash receptacles, dust surfaces, damp wipe surfaces, vacuum, sweep
• Removal of trash
• Floor cleaning, sweep, dust mop, damp mop, and wet mop
• Performance of cleaning duties may take place in an indoor/outdoor environment, depending on the customer’s needs
• All other duties as assigned
