Summary:

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the facility.

• Employ proper techniques for floor care and area preparation, including cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing, as well as carpet cleaning.
• Operate and maintain all floor cleaning and finishing equipment, including but not limited to floor buffers, burnishers, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Follow all safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
• Prepare all setups with tables, chairs, and tablecloths.
• Handle emergencies, including liquid spills, slips, and exposure to body fluids.
• Perform custodial duties when required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Three months of cleaning experience.
• Prior related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Capable of communicating any problems or issues to the immediate supervisor.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift more than 35 lbs.; push heavy equipment, including cleaning station supplies, vacuum cleaners, floor stripping equipment, trash cans, and water buckets; communicate any problem to the immediate supervisor.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
