Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Overview
This full‑time position is part of the Freedom Boat Club Operations team. The dockside Fleetio Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and performs light maintenance on the fleet of vessels while supporting day‑to‑day club operations. The role requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Functions- Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on vessels.
- Enter and update information in the Fleetio software.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Make and answer telephone calls with appropriate etiquette.
- Support the team to reach common goals.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to use a tablet and the Fleetio software.
- Proven experience with applications.
- Vision adequate to read and manipulate handheld computer tablets.
- Maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity.
- Highly effective communication skills and friendly customer service.
- Self‑starter, capable of working unsupervised.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Adhere to all safety policies.
- Cooperative, team attitude with supervisors and colleagues.
- Fleet maintenance background.
- Boating experience in and around boats.
- Work outside in varying weather and stand for extended periods.
- Local travel required.
- Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floating.
- Work near and on the water.
- Safely move on, off and in vessels during various tide and weather conditions.
Pay rate: $15 per hour.
