The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at agency facilities throughout Pinellas County, including multiple inpatient mental health Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs). This position supports the health, safety, and comfort of clients, staff, and visitors by performing routine housekeeping and environmental services duties.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and service client rooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all flooring surfaces.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces as needed.
- Clean windows, window sills, entrances, and other designated facility areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, bathtubs, and other fixtures.
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and waste materials.
- Clean and sanitize wastebaskets, refuse containers, and other receptacles.
- Arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly and safe manner.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in good working condition.
- Report damaged, defective, or unsafe equipment and discontinue its use until repaired or replaced.
- Organize and adjust work schedules and cleaning priorities to maximize efficiency while minimizing disruption to facility operations.
- Follow all agency safety, infection control, and environmental services procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
- Ability to travel between agency facilities and work locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and environmental service products.
- Regular interaction with clients receiving behavioral health services.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Work performed within healthcare, residential, and treatment program settings.

Preferred Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of housekeeping, custodial, environmental services, or healthcare-related experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and maintain established cleaning and safety standards.
