QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education/Experience Requirements:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUMMARY/JOB SCOPE:

* Cleans plant as directed to keep it in safe operating condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Every employee is expected to promote a safe work environment and safe job performance by actively participating in all plant safety programs as directed by the Management.

* Perform general manual labor throughout the Plant and Quarry as directed.

* Including but not limited to shoveling, sweeping, vacuuming, jack hammering, etc.

* Report any environmental issues.

* Report any safety issues/concerns.

* Assist in any other activities as required

* Fill in when trained as needed for other classifications containing vacancies.

* Other duties may be assigned

AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING:
Limited expectation of independent decision-making Beyond day-to-day operational tasks. Work under the supervision of a Production Supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No supervisory responsibilities.

COMPETENCIES:

* Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

* Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

* Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

* Tools and Equipment:
Includes but not limited to: brooms, pick, shovel, bars, sledge hammer, jack hammer, wheelbarrows, drills, hand tools, steam cleaner, supersucker hose, ball screener, chipping gun, water pumps, etc.

* Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
