Custodian – Full Time (NON-MMESP Position)

Beginning Date:
Immediately

Rate of Pay: $14.00/hour, 40 hours a week

• High school diploma preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and perform minor maintenance on building machinery and equipment.
• Ability to maintain a professional rapport in dealing with others.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Mt. Morris Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

• Keep building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Clean designated area each day as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Clear snow, ice, and debris from walks and steps as appropriate.
• Keep grounds free from rubbish.
• Report major repairs needed promptly to immediate supervisor.
• Report to immediate supervisor any damage to school property.
• Assume responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
• Maintain an awareness and comply with federal, state, local, district, and building policies, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
