General Description:

Performs maintenance duties related to district school buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds operations.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license

High school diploma or equivalent

Demonstrate advance knowledge regarding maintenance

Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record

Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds

Ability to climb ladders

Must be able to do physical labor

Must be dependable and able to work without direct supervision

Must meet criminal background check and fingerprint requirements and pass a drug test

Able to operate and maintain equipment necessary to fulfill responsibilities involving school grounds

Must be able to have flexible hours for snow plowing, mowing grass and emergency situations

Essential Functions:

Performs and is directly responsible for routine maintenance and all phases of grounds keeping duties

Mechanical ability to change filters in heating systems

Ability to operate heavy mowing and snowplowing equipment

Repair of buildings and equipment as needed

Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
