PositionSummary
Juniper Holiday + Home is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inspector to support the day-to-day success of our vacation rental operations. This field-based role is responsible for ensuring homes are guest-ready, well-maintained, properly stocked, and operating smoothly before each arrival. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently while managing changing priorities. This position combines property inspections, inventory management, vendor coordination, deliveries, and light maintenance support to help ensure every guest arrives to a five-star experience.
WhatYou'll Do Property Inspections
- Conduct detailed quality inspections prior to guest arrivals
- Verify cleanliness, staging, amenities, and overall guest readiness
- Take and upload inspection photos and documentation through Breezeway
- Identify and communicate housekeeping or maintenance concerns promptly
- Follow up on open issues to ensure timely resolution
- Deliver linens, supplies, amenities, and inventory to properties
- Assist with emergency supply runs and time-sensitive requests
- Support turnover operations during busy periods
- Coordinate property access for vendors, inspectors, and service providers
- Replace batteries, light bulbs, and other basic property items
- Check HVAC filters and other home essentials
- Install and maintain remote lock systems and lock batteries
- Hang signage and property materials as needed
- Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs
- Escalate larger maintenance concerns to the appropriate team
- Meet vendors onsite for deliveries and service appointments
- Verify completion of contracted work
- Communicate updates and findings to leadership
- Represent Juniper Holiday + Home professionally in the field
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking efforts
- Monitor supply levels at homes and storage locations
- Maintain organized housekeeping and maintenance inventory
- Assist housekeeping and maintenance teams as operational needs arise
- Help resolve field issues quickly and effectively
- Adapt to changing priorities and urgent requests
- Support overall operational excellence across the portfolio
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting aptitude
- Comfortable using mobile applications and technology, including Breezeway and Slack
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexible availability with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts as needed
- Previous experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, property management, facilities, maintenance, inspections, or field operations
- Experience using Breezeway or similar property management software
- Familiarity with inventory management and vendor coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
- Full-time
- Weekend and evening availability required based on operational needs
- Union Pier, Michigan
- Field-based position supporting properties throughout the Southwest Michigan market
