Job Summary: The Field Service Technician is responsible for traveling to the customer and servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for machines. They will set up, test, and adjust machinery using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic or computer technologies. They will resolve any operational issues in the field and adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory, and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Assure that all customers’ problems are handled with minimal delay.
- Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, work orders, and follow up on historic troubleshooting findings and notes.
- Effective collaboration and communications with customers, suppliers, engineering, purchasing, quality, production, and sales to be successful.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and service machines both old and newer models.
- Strong leadership, sales, service, and marketing skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Service and sales background preferred but not required.
- Valid CDL and medical card required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in related position.
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend.
- Requires employee to frequently work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Occasionally lift 30 pounds.
