Utility Clerk

Job Summary

Responsible for performing general maintenance and cleaning duties, maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members, and ensuring club parking and cart operations run smoothly.

• Provide prompt and courteous service to members and resolve concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of all club areas, including sales floor, offices, restrooms, and outdoor grounds.
• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Remove trash, debris, and non‑working carts from the parking lot and cart corrals.
• Operate floor scrubbers, trash compactors, and cardboard balers safely and efficiently.
• Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies, ensuring supply areas are organized.
• Perform minor routine building repairs and notify management of major repairs.
• Implement club policies and procedures and work in other departments as required.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks to maximize efficiency.
• Adhere to safety standards and use equipment such as pallet jacks when moving pallets.
• Assume responsibilities for parking lot cart functions if under 18; must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter restricted areas.

• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• Valid for positions up to 18 years of age for parking lot cart functions; >18 required for equipment operation.

• Regular movement on hard surfaces, bending, climbing, crouching, and reaching.
• Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds; may require assistance for heavier items.
• Use of pallet jack to move pallets.
• Involvement with company‑authorized cleaning agents and occasional exposure to paint and chemicals.
• Exposure to indoor/outdoor temperatures and extreme cold in freezers.
• Regular indoor and outdoor work with variable weather conditions.

$17.00 – $20.40 per hour.
