Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team in Onaway, MI. The ideal candidate will support the janitorial staff in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in restrooms and other designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and mops.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety and cleaning protocols to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Support the janitorial team with special cleaning projects as needed.

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
