Repair​/Maintenance Laborer

CalmHR Inc is seeking a Repair/Maintenance Laborer to support our Cambridge office and client-facing spaces. This role performs routine repairs, basic carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing tasks, and preventive maintenance on office equipment and facilities. The laborer conducts inspections, responds to work orders, coordinates with vendors, and ensures a safe, clean, and functional work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable using hand and power tools, follows safety and compliance standards, and collaborates with HR and operations teams in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor electrical and plumbing work
• Conduct regular inspections of office and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety issues
• Complete and track work orders, documenting repairs and parts used
• Perform preventive maintenance on facilities, fixtures, and basic building systems
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly maintenance areas and storage of tools and supplies
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed
• Follow safety procedures and support compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and room setups for meetings or events
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with HR and operations teams to support a professional, client-ready environment
