Building & Grounds Worker

About the role: The Building and Grounds Worker will be located onsite in Bridgman, MI. The role involves maintaining property buildings and grounds, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.

• Cut lawn using hand, power or riding equipment, trim and edge around walks, flowerbeds, walls.
• Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.
• Remove snow and ice from roads, walkways and steps; may rake leaves, clean and sweep litter.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds keeping.
• Perform minor building maintenance, plumbing, painting. This would include tasks such as small framing/drywall projects, repair toilets and urinals.
• Move office furniture and supplies.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• High School Diploma or educational equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License required;
  Commercial Driver License (CDL) desirable.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, listen, use hands to handle objects; reach with hands and arms, lift or move up to 75 pounds; vision with peripheral, close, and depth perception.
• Work outdoors under various weather conditions.
• Available to work day shift or night shift during winter months.
• Desirable: experience with maintenance, snow plowing, and lawn care.
• Must pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
• Local to the client’s site.

Base salary range: $18/hour to $19/hour, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
