Job Overview
Program Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring, painting, and general upkeep of program areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, workshops, storage spaces, housekeeping supply zones, corridors, and building interiors. Seasonal yard duties include cutting the lawn and shoveling. Clean and inspect all areas, fully addressing housekeeping issues and safety concerns. Maintain an immediate response to safety and sanitation problems through daily, weekly, and monthly checklists and visual inspections.
Ensure all equipment, furnishings, and program conditions remain in safe, operational condition, reporting any malfunctions to management.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to all staff, members, clients, and volunteers.
• Respond to all requests, comments, or complaints personally and follow up to confirm completion.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating pride in the job, enthusiasm, and cooperation with colleagues.
Adhere to Old Colony Y policies and procedures when obtaining supplies for maintenance tasks. Obtain supervisor approval before contacting outside vendors.

High School Diploma required. Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Physical Requirements• Ability to assist with restraining residents up to approximately 200 lbs.
• Visual and auditory acuity to maintain program security.
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch intermittently.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be able to drive and provide safe transportation.
• Pass physical and drug screen.
