• Full‑time, 40 hours per week
• Location:
  
  District 1 – Middletown, Southington, CT
• A valid driver’s license and a pre‑physical examination are required
• The candidate pool resulting from this job announcement may be used to fill future vacancies that may occur next year at various Rest Area facility locations
• Shifts will vary; weekend coverage is mandatory

• Middletown – Wednesday to Sunday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM;
  Monday and Tuesday: OFF
• Southington – Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM;
  Sunday: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM;
  Friday and Saturday: OFF

• Grass cutting, trimming, shrub bed maintenance, hedge row trimming, litter pickup, snow and ice removal
• Continuous cleaning within the confines of the rest area grounds and buildings
• Related duties
• Ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive background in maintenance trade practices, adeptly applying mechanical principles and utilizing maintenance materials to ensure efficient operations
