The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily upkeep, repair, safety, cleanliness, and functionality of Mayzon's Delaware facility. This role supports plant operations by ensuring the building, grounds, utilities, equipment support areas, and facility systems are properly maintained and operating safely.
The Facilities Supervisor coordinates maintenance activities, supervises facility support staff or vendors, responds to facility-related issues, and helps ensure compliance with company safety standards, housekeeping expectations, and applicable regulations.

Facilities Maintenance and Operations- Oversee daily facility maintenance activities, including building repairs, lighting, plumbing, HVAC coordination, doors, docks, grounds, and general facility upkeep.
- Monitor the condition of the facility and identify repair, safety, housekeeping, or maintenance needs.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for facility systems and equipment.
- Respond to facility-related service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure work areas, common areas, restrooms, offices, exterior grounds, and production support areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Support production and warehouse operations by ensuring the facility is operational and properly maintained.
- Supervise, assign, and follow up on daily work performed by facilities employees, janitorial staff, maintenance support personnel, or outside contractors.
- Provide direction, training, and guidance to team members to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on time.
- Monitor work quality and productivity and address issues as needed.
- Assist with scheduling coverage for facility needs, special projects, repairs, and emergency situations.
- Communicate facility priorities, project updates, and concerns to management.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for repairs, inspections, janitorial services, landscaping, pest control, HVAC, waste removal, and other facility-related services.
- Obtain quotes, schedule service visits, and monitor contractor work while onsite.
- Ensure contractors follow Mayzon safety procedures and facility requirements.
- Review completed work and report any concerns to management.
- Support a safe work environment by identifying hazards and ensuring timely corrective action.
- Ensure facility-related work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist with safety inspections, audits, emergency preparedness, and corrective action follow-up.
- Maintain proper documentation related to inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and contractor services.
- Ensure facility areas remain compliant with housekeeping, fire safety, access, and emergency exit requirements.
- Maintain records of facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service requests.
- Track recurring issues and recommend improvements to reduce downtime, safety risks, or unnecessary costs.
- Assist with maintaining spare parts, tools, supplies, and facility-related inventory.
- Support planning and completion of facility improvement projects.
- Assist with office moves, equipment relocations, furniture assembly, signage, and facility setup needs.
- Support seasonal facility needs, including snow removal coordination, landscaping, heating/cooling issues, and exterior maintenance.
- Participate in facility improvement, safety, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
- This position may supervise facilities staff, janitorial staff, maintenance support employees, or contractors, depending on business needs. The role is responsible for assigning work, monitoring performance, ensuring safe work practices, and escalating employee or performance concerns to management.
