Pump Mechanic

Position: Pump Mechanic I

Pay will start at $27.10/hour and can be adjusted based on experience**

* Schedule:

Tuesday through Thursday (10 days on and 4 days off) 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM with opportunity for overtime as business demands
*** This position will require some travel in the field (5%) as needed
* Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

* Clean, strip and inspect all required components
* Assist during the disassemble phase
* Prepare for detailed inspections
* Ability to comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Risk Assessments
* Utilize measuring equipment
* Dismantles pumps and other equipment as directed
* Hauls pumps and pump parts to and from machine and test shops
* Troubleshoots, disassembles, and performs a detailed evaluation to determine repair needs and root cause analysis for the following: TWS 2250, QWS 2500, TWS 600 short, TWS 600 standard, QWS 1000, QEM 3000, WS 335
* Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
* Utilize all PPE
* Perform other routine duties as requested
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Have a clean driving record, which means:
* No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
* No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
* One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
* Experience as a pump mechanic
* Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
* Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
* Must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
* Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
