Job Summary

The role is to maintain the cleanliness and order of all buildings and work sites serviced by Flag Ship. Duties include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing floors, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Shifts:

- 2nd shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm ($13.50/hr)
- 3rd shift: 10:00pm–6:30am ($13.50/hr)

Location:

Midland International Airport

• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing/buffing machines.
• Uses ladders, dusts, washes walls, cleans ceilings, dusts, and polishes light fixtures.
• Washes and replaces blinds.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
• Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• May sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Vacuum all carpeting and spot‑clean soiled areas on carpets as needed.
• Dust and clean tops of office furniture; empty waste baskets, replace liners.
• Clean glass on lobby doors, sweep and mop tile areas; wash sink and counter areas; clean vending machines and appliances.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, refill dispensers, and use disinfectant to mop floors.
• Perform spot‑mopping of tile floors, dust overhead vents, clean and polish wood furniture, and clean interior partition glass.

• Basic janitorial duties and responsibilities.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills; ability to speak/understand English.
• Neat appearance and ability to maintain uniform (required on some worksites).
• Attendance at periodic training and safety meetings.
• Punctuality and understanding of clients' needs.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.

Small‑to‑large office environment. Safety glasses required for certain tasks. Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise. Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.

• Repeated movements: stand, walk, sit, use hands to operate tools, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear.
• Stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
• Occasional lifting and moving of up to 40 lbs of equipment, cleaning products, and trash.
• Maintenance of vision acuity and ability to adjust focus.
