Position: Measurement Tech I, II, III

Overview

Our client seeks a Measurement Technician I to work within their facilities located in Midland, Texas on an initial 12-month assignment with possibility of extension or becoming permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement equipment, including tanks, tank cars, and other equipment.
  • Install and maintain radio equipment and ensure communication uplink.
  • Calibrate orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, and Coriolis measurement devices.
  • Apply AGA Measurement Standards and Fisher ROC/ABB configurations.
  • Perform hydrocarbon sampling for analysis.
  • Set process controls in both the field and processing plants.
  • Provide operability and maintainability inputs and expertise for Instruments and Controls discipline.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and perform testing and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on RTU equipment.
  • Test calibration and troubleshoot transmitters on communication equipment.
  • Install and test flow transmitters in the field.
  • Test and check moisture content, gravity, and CO2 of gas.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of operational strategies in pipeline management.
  • Expertise in pipeline systems and operations.
  • Familiarity with pigging operations and techniques.
  • Knowledge of energy isolation practices for safe operations.
  • Experience with pipeline commissioning and decommissioning processes.
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Commitment to safety culture and environmental standards.
Education & Experience
  • High school education or (GED).
  • Minimum of 1 year of oilfield experience.
  • Preferred experience installing and maintaining Fisher ROC's and ABB gas measurement equipment and WinCCU software.
  • Previous experience in a closely related position and/or industry experience.
