Shop Foreman

Hiring Location Midland, TX Yellowhouse Machinery is currently accepting applications for Shop Foreman at our Midland, TX location. Our applicants must exhibit strong work ethic and be able to provide supporting references. Must be able to assist in coordinating and directing the workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity. Advises and recommends to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

Service Manager Job Essential Duties:

Assigns jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge.

Assists in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the Service Department and may participate in repairs.

Promotes, adheres to and enforces company policy at all times with emphasis on a team mentality.

Reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness.

Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices.

Advises Service Manager or Store Manager of all customer complaints.

Fills the Service Manager role in their absence.

Works with the Store Manager and Used Equipment Manager in the repair of the used or demo fleet.

Approves the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.

Assists in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager.

Promotes customer service at all times throughout the organization.

Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment.

Executes other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:3+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred.

Experience leading a team and working cooperatively in a team environment.

Experience using special tools and following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technician’s specialty.

Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction or heavy equipment.

Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Experience with basic computer functions;
Experience using Service ADVISOR or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred.

Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required;
Associate degree preferred

Valid driver’s license required.

Pass a background check, drug test and physical.
