Lead Building & Pool Maintenance Technician COM Aquatics Non-Profit Organization – Midland, TX Position Overview

COM Aquatics is seeking a dependable and motivated Building & Pool Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our aquatic facility in Midland, Texas. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully operational environment for staff, athletes, and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on facility systems, including plumbing, lighting, HVAC, doors, and fixtures
  • Maintain indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, including pools, decks, locker rooms, and mechanical rooms
  • Test pool water, adjust chemical levels, and maintain accurate chemical and safety logs
  • Clean pools, decks, and surrounding areas to ensure safety and presentation standards are met
  • Inspect equipment regularly and report or address mechanical or safety issues
  • Assist with preventative maintenance to extend the life of facility and pool equipment
  • Respond to maintenance requests and urgent repair needs in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and safety standards
  • Coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and contractors as needed
Qualifications
  • Experience in facility, building, or pool maintenance preferred
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with pool operations and water chemistry (CPO certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in wet & outdoor environments
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work
  • Will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, on-call & event-based hours
