Signet Health is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Supervisor for Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center, located between Midland and Odessa, Texas.
The Maintenance Technician Supervisor provides hands-on leadership and daily oversight of the hospital’s maintenance team and facility operations. This position is responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, inspections, and general building services to ensure a safe, functional, secure, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
The Maintenance Technician Supervisor will work closely with the Manager of Facilities and hospital leadership to maintain the physical environment and support compliance with applicable DNV standards, NFPA codes, CMS Conditions of Participation, Life Safety requirements, and State of Texas regulations applicable to behavioral health facilities.

Responsibilities Include:1. Maintenance Team Supervision & Leadership
- Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, and support to Maintenance Technicians.
- Assign and prioritize daily work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and facility projects.
- Monitor work quality and ensure assignments are completed accurately and timely.
- Assist with training and development of maintenance staff.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and a strong culture of safety.
- Assist the Manager of Facilities with scheduling and departmental coverage.
- Serve as a point of contact for maintenance-related needs when the Manager of Facilities is unavailable.
- Communicate staffing, operational, safety, and performance concerns to the Manager of Facilities.
- Coordinate and perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on HVAC units, plumbing systems, lighting, electrical fixtures, emergency generators, doors/hardware, and other facility equipment.
- Ensure PM schedules are completed within required time frames.
- Review and maintain accurate maintenance documentation within the hospital's CMMS or designated tracking system.
- Replace filters, belts, bulbs, batteries, hardware, and other components as needed.
- Monitor recurring equipment or facility issues and recommend corrective action.
- Respond to and coordinate maintenance work orders from clinical and administrative departments.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs involving:
- Minor plumbing, including clogs, leaks, and fixtures.
- Basic electrical systems, outlets, switches, lighting, and fixtures within appropriate qualifications.
- Minor HVAC adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Carpentry, drywall, doors, locks, shelving, flooring, and general building repairs.
- Determine when repairs require escalation to the Manager of Facilities, licensed professionals, or outside contractors.
- Verify completed repairs are safe and meet facility requirements.
- Assist with Environment of Care rounds, Life Safety inspections, fire drills, emergency preparedness activities, and facility safety audits.
- Ensure required maintenance logs, inspection records, work orders, and PM documentation remain current and survey-ready.
- Assist with testing and documentation of emergency lighting, exit signage, fire extinguishers, and other applicable life safety components.
- Identify deficiencies and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Support preparation for DNV, CMS, state, fire marshal, and other regulatory inspections and surveys.
- Maintain heightened awareness of environmental risks unique to behavioral health settings.
- Ensure patient-care areas are maintained in accordance with applicable ligature-resistance and behavioral health safety requirements.
- Immediately address or elevate hazards such as damaged hardware, exposed utilities, unsecured access points, broken fixtures, or other environmental risks.
