We’re looking for part‑time Sales Associates to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales. Candidates must be able to greet customers, provide product information, and handle cash register transactions.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist customers promptly; acknowledge customers immediately and manage multiple customers efficiently.
- Assess customer needs, provide product knowledge, answer questions, direct them to merchandise, and offer recommendations.
- Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
- Promote store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance the shopping experience and boost sales.
- Resolve customer concerns, use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, and aim to turn returns into exchanges.
- Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, supporting a positive work environment.
- At least 16 years old.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts and travel as needed.
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, hand‑held devices and mobile solutions.
- Good communication skills; able to engage with customers courteously and professionally.
- Basic information‑gathering and problem‑solving skills; able to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.
- Operate cash register frequently.
- Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5‑10 ft high.
- Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
- Stand upright or kneel, bend, twist and stoop frequently, especially in the stock room and on the sales floor.
- Communicate with customers via phone and face‑to‑face in store and with managers and coworkers.
- Read and follow email and print instructions for merchandise layouts, schedules and SOPs.
- Remain in a stationary upright position for about 80 % of working time.
