NHC Health Care Milan is seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and Partners. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and being part of a team.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will:

Assist with general building, equipment, and grounds maintenance.

Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance as assigned.

Assist with light grounds care, cleaning, and upkeep of the property.

Inspect property and equipment for safety concerns and report needed repairs.

Help maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems as appropriate to experience and training.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.

Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to help minimize disruption to patient care.

Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and incoming or outgoing freight as needed.

Properly use and care for maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.

Respond to maintenance needs and emergencies as directed.

Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

High school diploma, GED, or technical school education preferred.

Previous maintenance experience preferred, but not required.

HVAC experience is a plus.

Ability to read and understand basic technical manuals and instructions.

Basic knowledge of safety practices and regulations.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Dependable, professional, and able to interact respectfully with patients, families, visitors, and coworkers.

Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with maintenance work.

Full Time

Schedule may include varying shifts and occasional on-call or emergency maintenance needs based on center operations.
