Marmon Utility LLC (a Marmon Holdings company) seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead and coordinate maintenance activities across a production facility.
Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Evaluate production equipment or facilities to determine necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Assess production equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules.
- Develop maintenance procedures and schedules as required.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist with departmental budget estimates and project cost management.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules in collaboration with operations staff.
- Manage critical spare parts lists and inventory levels to prevent unscheduled downtime.
- Track all maintenance activities through the maintenance management program.
- Support the generation of Capital Expense requests using maintenance data.
- Maintain equipment documentation, including electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring current updates.
- Hire, train, and develop maintenance department staff.
- Organize and oversee maintenance staff schedules and workload.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Coach and mentor staff to enhance performance.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure 24/7 maintenance coverage of operations within the facility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Engineering degree preferred or 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor; electrical engineering preferred.
- At least 5 years of management experience required.
- Five years of experience programming and supervising PLC and motor drive systems.
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of large manufacturing equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of facility-related systems.
- Wire & cable experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of PLCs and large HP AC/DC drives and motors.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for production systems.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience with 2D & 3D CAD is a plus.
- Project management experience.
