Alexandria Township School District is seeking a motivated, organized and hands on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations and custodial services of our PreK-8 school district. Requirements and
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Must possess or be eligible to obtain the New Jersey Certified Educational Facilities Manager (CEFM) certification. Candidates who do not currently hold the certification must begin the certification process upon hire. Black Seal Boiler Operator License required Valid New Jersey driver's license required Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, climbing, bending and performing other duties associated with school facilities maintenance Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment Commitment to providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude. Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the operation, maintenance and care of district buildings and grounds Plan, coordinate and supervise preventative and corrective maintenance of all district facilities and building systems Manage district repair, maintenance and capital improvement/renovation projects Assist with long-range facilities planning and development of annual facilities and maintenance budgets Supervise and schedule custodial staff Snow removal & lawn care Oversee contracted services and other facilities related vendors Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations governing school facilities, including health, environmental and building code requirements Oversee school safety and security systems and coordinate facilities related emergency preparedness and response Maintain district equipment, inventories, and maintenance records Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate after hours or weekend repairs as necessary Work collaboratively with district administration, staff, contractors, and outside agencies to ensure safe, clean, and efficient learning environments Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Business Administrator Effective:
August 17, 2026 - June 30, 2027 Terms of Employment:
Salary Range: $75,000- $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
