Position Location: This role supports our Milford, OH branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Cincinnati, OH area.
Our Systems Specialists participate in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment that has been newly installed. They support the verification of the system database and programming, ensuring consistency with the scope of work and sequence of operations.
Responsibilities- Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines.
- Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
- Act as Lead Technician and plan work with Team Leader.
- Perform data backup from data servers, create automated backup procedures, troubleshoot and resolve inconsistencies, configure PC workstations and user interfaces, confirm proper network performance.
- Conduct operational testing, verification, and acceptance: run routine reports, perform final inspection and testing, provide customer training on system operations, submit routine written reports, provide plans and control system documents to engineering for as‑built drawings.
- Coordinate with trade contractors to perform startup services.
- Work overtime as needed; may require compressed schedule performance.
- Work rotational on‑call and/or minimal overnight travel.
- Submit accurate time and expense reports.
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- 3+ years of experience with electro‑mechanical systems and user PC/software.
- Demonstrated on‑the‑job experience with integration of low voltage building sub‑systems industry protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret design and construction documents.
- Willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high lift equipment, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and various conditions.
- Ability to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be able to work overtime and on‑call as needed.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- High school diploma or state‑recognised GED;
Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related field. - Experience in Niagara‑Tridium.
Salary range: $57,120 – $97,920 annually (actual wage offered may vary).
