SalaryVisitor Information Program Assistant III: $4,040 to $5,112 per month (SR-12, Steps C - I)
NoteHiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications and other relevant factors.
Shift workApplicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

The Visitor Information Program Assistant III plans, assigns and reviews the work of lower level Visitor Information Program Assistants; conducts on-the-job training of subordinates as assigned and as needed; resolves operational problems except for unusual or complex cases which are referred to the supervisor; prepares and compiles operational reports; receives and resolves complaints or refers them to appropriate office as necessary;
evaluates the work performance of subordinates; recommends approval or disapproval of requests for leaves of absence; prepares requisitions for supplies and other items; maintains daily log of all operational activities at airport and harbor terminals; and participates in special greeting assignments and conducts airport or harbor tours as required. Plans, assigns and reviews the work of lower level Visitor Information Program Assistants;

To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Basic Experience RequirementApplicants must possess experience which demonstrated the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, and a high degree of verbal skill. This experience may be met from part‑time and/or unpaid work. However, there must be evidence that participation was on continuous basis, but not necessarily on a full‑time normal work basis. This requirement may also be met by possession of a high school diploma, or equivalent.
GeneralExperience
- Two (2) years work experience which demonstrated positive evidence that applicants possess patience, tact, and an even temper in meeting and dealing with others. Examples of desirable experience may include, but are not limited to, experience providing hospitality of customer service catering to the traveling public.
