Position:
Full Time – 2nd Shift, Technicians/Mechanics (Hourly) Salary: $21.50 – $24.20 per hour.
Shift: Tuesdays – Saturdays, 3:00pm – 11:30pm.
CompensationBase pay $21.50–$24.20 per hour. Additional hourly differentials: $2.75 for overnight shift (10pm–6am), $1.75 for evening shift (6–10pm), and $1 for weekend hours. Bonuses and incentives may also apply. Employees may participate in medical, dental, vision, wellness, 401(k) with 6% match, and a wide array of other employee and membership benefits.
Responsibilities- Respond to member requests for service and accept calls/dispatch with estimated time of arrival (ETA).
- Locate and assess the safety of the scene, ensuring member and vehicle safety.
- Greet members and manage their emotional state, calming anger and reassuring fear.
- Communicate battery program details, test vehicles, and recommend battery types.
- Provide diagnostic testing of a variety of disabled vehicle systems including electrical, battery, starting, charging, ignition, and fuel delivery.
- Make a determination of the best course of action; request assistance if uncertain.
- Perform battery testing, maintain terminals, boost or replace batteries as needed, and dispose of hazardous materials properly.
- Provide minor mechanical assistance when trained and equipped.
- Record van activity, invoicing, cash and credit receipts, and inventory on a laptop.
- Maintain the service vehicle and equipment, conduct safety checks, and manage inventory of tools and products.
- Follow temporarily repaired vehicles to ensure member safety or transport members to their destination if towing is required.
- Follow all club policies and procedures and safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School GED required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Post‑secondary training in automotive mechanics preferred; familiarity with electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver's license issued by one state or jurisdiction.
- Minimum one‑year DOT card, required pre‑hire and for current employees.
- Successfully pass a motor vehicle record check during pre‑hire screening and periodically during employment.
