We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Building Attendant II for the University Unions. The location for this position is the William
C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center, 2201 Speedway, Austin, Texas.

- Ensure the area immediately outside the facility remains neat and clean.
- Assist with floor care, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors and stripping and finishing floors.
- Clean, stock and maintain the male and female restrooms.
- Assist with room set-ups and breakdowns for special events.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and remove trash throughout the facility.
- Follow job requirements, and direction from building supervisors.
- Use proper cleaning materials, correctly operating janitorial equipment and adhering to required safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by the building supervisors.
- Experience in any of the following fields: custodial, environmental services, hospitality, warehouse, production, or facilities maintenance. Experience following basic work instructions.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- High school graduation or GED.
- Six months or more experience in any of the above listed fields.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with supervisors and peer group in a timely and effective manner.
- Experience using industrial-size custodial equipment.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, written instructions, product labels and instructions, and other written job materials.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to be an effective team member.
- Flexibility is key for this position.
$36,342 Annually
Working Conditions- May work in all weather conditions.
- May work around chemicals and chemical fumes.

- Lifting and moving of heavy items.
Full-Time. Five consecutive days per week at 8 hours per day, shift hours begin between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm (candidate availability and work shift preferences will be covered during interview). Saturday and/or Sunday shift(s) during the fall and spring semesters.
Peak operational needs may alter this schedule to meet business needs. Flexibility is key for this position. This position is FLSA non-exempt and overtime may be required as necessary.
