Your Role

Responsible for performing emergency and predictive preventative maintenance procedures on electromechanical conveyor systems by providing the technical expertise to diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical and control system failures. Conduct routine and periodic inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of machinery and equipment. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

What Are You Going To Do?

Perform emergency and predictive maintenance procedures on electromechanical conveyor systems. Responsible for maintenance and calibration of microprocessor-based control equipment, general instrumentation and electrical control systems to carry out first line diagnostic, troubleshooting and maintenance work. Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical and control system failures using technical expertise and accepted diagnostic procedures, tests, calibration equipment and instrumentation including CRT terminals. Conduct routine and periodic inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of machinery and equipment.

Manage tasks, projects and priorities with minimal supervision. Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times. Keep the work area clean and orderly. Assist in facility maintenance as needed. Perform all work in conformance with safe work practices. Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?

Education and Experience:

High School Graduate or GED Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience as an electromechanical technician. Working knowledge and demonstrated experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic control systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, process control instrumentation and 3 phase (480V) Circuits. Demonstrated knowledge and working experience with motors and conveyor systems. Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Ability to read and comprehend technical operating and maintenance and repair manuals.

Skills:

Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures utilized in electromechanical repairs and maintenance. PC Literate. Intermediate proficiency level with MS Windows, Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job-related specific software applications. Proven organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to meet deadlines and complete all projects in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a confident and professional manner with both internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers.

Associate in arts degree in Electromechanical or other relevant technical disciplines preferred or associate in science degree in Electromechanical or other relevant technical disciplines; or equivalent certification and training, i.e. military training and certification Minimum 2 years industry experience. PLC (Programmable logic Controller) Technician certification. Characteristics:
Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solutions. Ability to support team members in furthering departmental goals through open and honest communication, promoting team interests over self-interest Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
