EVS Repair Technician

Starting at $19.67 per hour | Requires flexibility to work various shifts

As an Environmental Services (EVS) Repair Technician, you will operate, repair, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on all tools and equipment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (
* Essential Functions)

• * Operate, repair, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on all tools and equipment, including but limited to vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, rotary scrubbers, floor scrubbers, floor buffers, and electric lifts. Report any safety issues to department leadership.
• * Train all team members on how to operate existing and new equipment, including the management team.
• * Clean machines, perform overhauls, and restore disabled equipment to proper function.
• * Document and maintain logs of maintenance and repairs performed.
• * Order and receive parts and maintain parts inventory.
• * Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
• * Maintain current knowledge of equipment operation and assist other team members with issues or concerns.
• * Assist EVS Attendants and Project Team Members in maintaining the cleanliness of the property as assigned, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and stripping floors, cleaning and washing of all interior windows of the property.
• * Work closely with all departments to ensure that cleaning processes are complete, performed in a safe and timely fashion, and cause minimal disruption to business operations.
• * Monitor work areas regularly to identify potential problems or repairs needed. Notify EVS leadership of necessary maintenance to be scheduled.
• * Stock and maintain organized supply rooms and closets. Transport equipment and supplies to work zones to complete assigned tasks.
• * Work closely with all departments to ensure that cleaning processes are complete, performed in a safe and timely fashion, and cause minimal disruption to business operations.
• * Monitor work areas regularly to identify potential problems or repairs needed. Notify EVS leadership of necessary maintenance to be scheduled.
• Move furniture and accessories as needed and assigned.
• Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience are required.
• Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic knowledge of computers.
• The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
• The ability to interact with customers and team members in a professional manner.
• The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, and move for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer.
  
  The team member may occasionally be required to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

The noise is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
