ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance Supervisor in Fremont, Wisconsin.
What you’ll do:The Maintenance Supervisor performs maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including plumbing, light carpentry and construction, HVAC repairs and adjustments, and appliance repair. You will work with your maintenance team to ensure that the community meets the company’s quality maintenance standards.
Your job will include:- Manage a team of maintenance employees and ensure they follow safe work practices.
- Supervise maintenance staff: interview candidates, train new employees, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions or termination if necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance and record findings in a maintenance log.
- Review and delegate work orders promptly.
- Conduct regular property inspections.
- Monitor maintenance of community mechanical equipment.
- Ensure team performance meets company standards and service requests are handled promptly and courteously.
- Assist in preparing the community budget related to maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
- Operate within the approved budget and make fund allocation decisions.
- Communicate professionally with management and staff.
- Respond courteously to guest concerns.
- Participate in training programs and community activities.
- Assist with capital improvement projects and special maintenance projects.
- Perform on-call emergency services as needed.
- Represent the community professionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of technical experience in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance.
- Willingness to be on call for emergencies.
